Alberta Iva (Hagans) Hanna/Hannah
b. 9/26/1911 Stillwater Twp., Coshocton County, OH
m. Earl Stanley Hanna/Hannah
7/14/1932 Parkersburg, WV
d. 6/16/1992 Millersburg, OH

Photo probably taken in the early 1920's when she was a young teen.

Here is the back of the photo:

It reads: "Remember the fun on the rides we had at Canton Park when we had our picture taken?"
I am not sure who wrote the line or who else was supposed to be in this picture with her.

  1. Hello. Iva Alberta Hagans Hanna was my Aunt (I used to call her Aunt Bertie). Her brother, Ralph Fremont Hagans of Wooster (1916-1974) was my father. They had 1 sibling, a sister Pearl Fern Hagans Didinger (1910-1989) of Killbuck. As you probably know Richard Cleveland and Emma Leora Ferrell Hagans were their parents. Emma later remarried Floyd Craft and they both reside near Alberta in the Fredericksburg Cemetery. Richard C. (died 1926 at the age of 42) resides next to his parents John F. (1853-1937) and Martha J. (1858-1915) in the Darling Run Cemetery just outside of Nellie. John F.’s parents were John (b. 5/12/1824, d. 4/22/1898) and Elizabeth (nee Gowder) Hagans. John is buried in the New Castle cemetery just ‘down the road’ from Nellie. Elizabeth is listed on his tombstone but no date of death is given – she may be buried elsewhere. John and Elizabeth moved from Lancaster county, PA to the New Castle area in 1859 (they were married in PA on 11/22/1840). As of yet I have not been able to find out any information on John or Elizabeth’s parents. However, another Hagans (Samuel) and his wife Mary nee Campbell also moved from Lancaster county to the New Castle area in 1851. I suspect he and John must be related but as of yet cannot find the link. Samuel is listed on his father’s side as being of Irish and Welsh descent while being of Scotch descent on his mother’s side. My wife and I just recently photographed all of the Hagans’ tombstones in the Nellie and New Castle cemeteries. We would be glad to share these with you. Of course, we are interested in making contact with other relatives and would very much like to hear from you. My daughter, Heather, has also tried to make contact through Heather Lessiter’s blog. Thanks, Patrick Hagans
